DAIARA TUKANO

Daiara Hori Figueroa Sampaio - Duhigô, of the Tukano indigenous people – Yé'pá Mahsã, Eremiri Húusiro Parameri clan of the Upper Rio Negro in the Brazilian Amazon, born in São Paulo.

Artist, activist, educator and communicator.

Graduated in Visual Arts and Master in Human Rights from the University of Brasília - UnB; researches the right to memory and truth of indigenous peoples;

She was the coordinator of Rádio Yandê, the first indigenous web-radio in Brazil -  www.radioyande.com  from 2015 to 2001.

Winner of the 2021 PIPA Online Award, organized by the PIPA Institute as the most relevant Brazilian visual arts award.

It studies the culture, history and traditional spirituality of its people together with their family. Lives in Brasilia, DF.
